Wow. What a week. To think that one of my past blogs was written sitting in Christchurch in a pub that is probably no longer there. Scary. To see the utter devastation of that gorgeous city is beyond words. I sat and cried when I heard the news and saw the footage of the cathedral. Here are some pics of the church when I last saw it. Unfortunately the spire is now on the ground, and the majority of the church is in rubble and irreparable.
I was in the Phoenix airport and I heard amidst the babble "earthquake" and I wondered about New Zealand because there's been so much activity there lately...so sad. But so happy that you weren't in port that day! Hug Peggy for me. Love you! Mom
